This online exhibit is based on letters written home to two sisters by a Canadian soldier during World War One.  Not much is known about our young soldier from Oshawa apart from his name, what he looked like, and what his experiences and feelings were during his time in the trenches of Flanders in France and Belgium.

There are few possessions, photos, and letters, but the words that fill those pages shed light on not only who this young man was, but also what he was seeing and feeling at a time when the world was at war.
